Family is where Home is. The love of a family is life’s greatest blessing. Family represents a bond that never breaks; a bond that gives us strength and support through life’s ups and downs.
“It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye” – The Little Prince
We all yearn for love from our family. As a mom, I want my kids to love me back. As a wife, I desire to be showered with love from my husband. As a daughter, I expect my elderly parents to continue doting on me. Yet, in our hectic schedules, our family moments are often lacking, or worse, a letdown. Interactions with family members end up conditional rather than from the heart. As each of us go through different life stages in our family, from being a child, to a student, working adult, or even a parent – we find ourselves seeking what’s the meaning of being a family? Does a perfect family exist?
Through my journey in discovering about family relationships, I realize that we tend to expect the most from our family, and yet end up hurting them the most. We impose society’s pressures, judgements and expectations into our family. And this is hindering us from building open, true relationships.
It is only through our heart, and not our egos, that we can transform our family relationships, first by accepting ourselves as who we are, and our family members as who they truly are. Using heart-centered communications and empathy, we can reconnect and rekindle our family relationships at a deeper level. Let’s move from hurt to heart, to grow our family with unconditional love.

Home is where the heart is, as the saying goes. However, we often lose sight of our anchor in life, our family, as we go about our hectic, daily routines – often in a stressed out, survival mode. Our family serve as an important node in the web of life. We are intrinsically linked to each member of our family – what we think, what we do, what we feel – all these deliver energetic vibrations that touch the connections that we have with our loved ones, and vice versa. Simply put – negativity breeds negativity, positivity nurtures positivity.
In this meditation session, we focus on the relationship dynamics in our family. Be it parent-child, sibling, multi-generational, or even past relationships – these all serve a purpose in our life’s journey. Through meditation, we observe the family dynamics, explore our feelings and experiences, and look deep within ourselves to find the seeds of love and open our hearts to possibilities in our family relationships.
Class Fees: SGD33 | Duration: 1.5 hours | Once a month on Saturday

For parents and children, are you spending enough quality time with each other? It’s time for us to celebrate the love we have in our family. We can start by enhancing our communication and connection between parent-child, through family retreats to talks and workshops.
Rainbow Connections Family is set up by our group of passionate program facilitators and workshop practitioners, who believe in helping families to build stronger bonds and relationships, in particular between parents and their children.
In today’s fast-paced, hectic lifestyles, many parents and children are time-poor, thus impacting on the quality of their relationships. There is an urgent need to help families improve communication, strengthen connections to celebrate their appreciation and acceptance for each other with unconditional love.
Rainbow commonly symbolizes hope, dreams and blessings. It is regarded as a symbol of supernatural beauty, promise and enlightenment. It also appeals to both adults and kids.
